Meaning
A contra entry is the entry for a transaction that moves money between cash and bank within the same business. It is recorded on both sides of the cash book and marked with the contra symbol "C".
Example
For example, Maju Jaya Enterprise deposits RM2,000 cash into the bank. Debit the bank column and credit the cash column in the cash book, both marked "C".
