Meaning

The Income Statement is a financial statement that shows revenue and expenses for a period to determine the net profit or net loss. It is prepared before the Statement of Financial Position.

Example

For example, if Sinar Grocery earns revenue of RM80,000 and incurs expenses of RM62,000, its Income Statement shows a net profit of RM18,000 for the year.
