Meaning

The Statement of Financial Position is a financial statement that shows a business's assets, liabilities and owner's equity on a particular date. It proves the accounting equation, where total assets equal equity plus liabilities.

Example

For example, on 31 December, Anggerik Boutique reports assets of RM74,000, liabilities of RM34,000 and owner's equity of RM40,000, proving RM74,000 = RM40,000 + RM34,000.
